Visual Studio is THE best IDE out there.
it doesn't add any functionality to emacs, but emacs does add a lot of functionality!
What are you hinting at? Visual Studio is an IDE, emacs is an editor from what I gather.
VS is perfect for coding, and I dare say it's a good one seeing as it's pretty much the most popular IDE for Windows.
I guess I'm just an emacs, g++ and linux fundamentalist ;-)Quote:

But please don't say that the most popular is automatically the best, quality is not democracy. Guess it's just the ms hegemony :-(
I was just biting back because you said it was "poor" ;)
Best is subjective to each individual. But I find it good, and it certainly is not a bad IDE, or otherwise it wouldn't be so popular.
