I couldnt find any phones that run SymbianOS that are available outside japan last tme I looked ( a month ago or 2).
Well, having Windows Mobile. The default is Visual studio which currently costs too much. So what is the alternative, C? Raw programming, I'd call it with no IDE.
Embedded Visual C++ 4.0 is free and can create CE targets for up to CE 5.0.

I actually do have VS 2008 pro edition, but the trial version. So you see my point, if I can't complete my project for WM 2003 in time. Another alternative...I don't like that app, I've used it before a long while ago.
Um, so
Those are the only tools I know of - free, trial, or cough up some $$.

Vs 05 costs up to £200. I'd have to wait until £50-70.
Would Palm have any chance with C?
Whats the deal with your '08 demo? I use 2008, does your trial not have the ability to create mobile apps?

I assume "in time" means before the trial runs out. So it's capable, but the clock is ticking...

My Nokia E65 runs on Symbian S60, and as far as I can Nokia is not a Japanese firm (though the lines are blurred these days with MNCs). There appear to be tools targeted for Symbian S60 available at zero price.I couldnt find any phones that run SymbianOS that are available outside japan last tme I looked ( a month ago or 2).
