    array-string

    Code:
     char a[16];

       printf(" enter sequence");
       scanf( "%s", a );
    how can it be written with array,using for loop?

    Not sure what you're trying to do. But scanf + %s is dangerous. Read my signature. It's something everyone should know.

    i meant how can i take a sequence of characters with array,finite and infinite size?
    why is it dangerous ,because of no ampersand?

    You can read a single char with getc().
    Code:
    scanf("%s", ...) is unsafe! If you're going to use it, specify buffer size properly! If that's confusing, just use fgets.
    Did you mysteriously miss that or did you NOT read my signature?

    You can fit a finite number of chars in an array. You can NOT fit an infinite number of chars in an array.
