    help with compiling using devcpp

    Hi there
    I have a problem in compiling the sources of open source softwares using devcpp.
    All i get is the src folder in which there are many c and header files and also makefiles.
    What do we have to do to compile a software which is comprised of so many c files , header files makefiles etc.
    Thanx in advance

    The edge of the known universe
    Create an empty project in dev-c++
    Then Project->Project Options...
    Select the "makefile" tab, and then enter the details for "custom makefile".

    I've never tried it, so I don't know how well it works.
    If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
    If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
