    Character representation of integers

Hello all. I am currently working on building a library in use for a project I am working on. I am running into difficulties and I hope someone could help. The problem is that I cannot get a function which prints an integer to the screen to work. This function takes an integer for an argument e.g void print_int(int x); and I am restriced to basically the write() function, as, again, this function will be used in a seperate library. I have tried combinations of pointers and casting, but it still does not work. Would anyone be able to shed some like on this? Thank you.

Use sprintf() to create a string from your int, then write() your string.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
