Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
If by graphical you mean a graphical user interface then this would depend on your platform or you can go for a portable solution like GTK.
If you want to make graphics then OpenGL is portable and many people find it easier to start with then directx.
Sorry by my english, i'm brazilian, i'm trying my best in this forum, so the 2nd answer, is answering perfectly my question.
