    return

    Is there a command that returns you back to main from a function within a funtion etc.

    Yes, but you don't want to use it. I'm sure that you can have your functions return in a sensible manner without having to jump all over creation

    I find it best to use all global variables and one huge 'main' function. Then I just use goto whenever I need to get some place. I really don't need to use global variables, but I find it best, that way, if someone ever goes to use my code, and they add a function, my variables are all available to that function.
