How can I tell if the compiler supports the C99 standard...
Also, where can I find a complete guide to the C99 standard, all the changes, and extra functions and fixes?
Btw, is the C99 only applies to C, and not C++ ?
Thank you.

Try declaring a long long variable. No, seriously, check the documentation or website.
C99 is a C standard, not C++.
Most books cover C99 now. Programming in C is one.
