    Sockets

So I've been reading through the FAQ trying to refresh myself on some C stuff. I've never used sockets and I'm wondering if someone could give me some help.

Under this, it shows help with sockets, but it's listed under the UNIX section. So... I'm wondering... do sockets exist under windows?

How do you connect and talk to specific ports?

    Found this with a search.
    7. It is easier to write an incorrect program than understand a correct one.
    40. There are two ways to write error-free programs; only the third one works.*

In windows you use winsock.h Pretty much everything is the same unless you start using some of the Win32 stuffs.

In Beej's Guide he makes mention of what you need to do.

OK, thanks guys. I've played with Winsock in VB before... didn't know it was available in C, or that it was called the same.
