    I feel inspired
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

    clearing the screen

Here is the _simple_, guaranteed way for all newbies to clear the screen.

    1) While sitting at computer
    2) Reach forward with the favored hand
    3) Extend index finger of favored hand
    4) Stiffen index finger of favored hand sufficiently to apply atleast 15lbs of pressure.
    5) Locate round, exdented object with the graven or stenciled indicator of a circle with a line bisecting its circumference, and perpendicular to its topmost tangential arc.
    6) Bring stiffened index finger of favored hand into contact with exdented object and exert necessary pressure required to cause the object to indent until it stops.
    7) Quickly cease application of exterted force on indentable exdented object with stiffened finger of favored hand and withdraw and retract hand completely to a distance of atleast 6 inches (but not more than 48 inches) from planar surface of monitor.
    8) Note how fullscreen mode is achieved, rendering entire screen a nice solid monotone sufficent for background tranquility.

    enjoy.
