heap memory

When I allocate memory from the heap does it need to be initalize before use?
Don't you dare hit me on the head, you know I'm not normal.

Depends on how you want to use it. Remember that heap memory isn't initialised by anyone else, it is your responsibility if you want to do it.
When all else fails, read the instructions.
If you're posting code, use code tags:
/* insert code here */
