    book recommendation

Hey, last night I had a notion to look up some stuff on the assembly language, and I ended up getting almost too much stuff - hard to sort through what is good and what is not good (maybe its all good, who knows?) Anyway, if I wanted to learn assembly, is there a special area of it just for C? What I would like is a book that would be a good introduction to the subject, that also ties it into C.
