Thread: C online tutorials and literature

What are some good online tutorials/lit. for someone that needs a good primer/intro/boot camp for C. I have a course in C programming next semester and want to get ahead of the game. Thanx

C++ tutorials, OpenGL with C++ tutorials, Standard Template Library (STL) tutorials, articles on programming and computer science, as well as Denthor of Asphyxia's graphics tutorials converted to C++. Well its a bit of work to find what you are after - I guess a good place to start would be to click here:

I have not found a good solid tutorial yet - what I mean by that is that I have not found one that is stand-alone. I have had to refer to bits and pieces from here and there, as well as my K&R which sits on my desk. Here are a couple of other links to get you started:

This should get you started anyway. I am not sure that there is any info on how to compile your program, or even how to get it into a text editor and then save it, so you may have to do a little more searching for that sort of thing yourself.

The C Programming Language from Kernighan and Ritchie is good for learning C. Ritchie has a website, it contains some nice things about C: http://www.cs.bell-labs.com/who/dmr/.

Also you might visit your library and see if they have the book you'll need next semester and read a bit in it.
