Moin, just fell over this topic and thought that I maybe can give another reason for using C . It is predictable, that means that it is hard to design c++ code that is predictable in the sens that it is hard to proof that the code is correct and complete.
I design embedded systems with safety critical constraints, and all CASE Tools I know produce c code because it can be checked with modelcheckers to reason about their correctness.
So far so good...maybe a new aspect
