I Need Help!! Pronto!!
here's the deal, program due tommorrow, i'm learning C tonite. not going so well. i have a working copy of the program in QBASIC, i'm sure you all think that BASIC sucks and i'm sure it does, but i was wondering if anyone could take that copy of the program and turn it into a program in C, please reply quickly. it's an easy program it took me 15 minutes to write in QBASIC. please help. reply and i'll send you the code. please!!
we aren't here to do your homework for you. if you give us some sample of what you've tried, we will help you fix it... but if you don't explain how you've tried and failed, we cannot help you because you have not tried...

You left it till the last day before your program is due to learn the means to do it. That sounds like 'lazy' to me
You want someone to do your homework for you. You burnt your bridges. Perhaps if you took a more clever approach, but you didn't, so now your homework is YOUR homework.

okay hardcores, i get it, i didn't do my homework and i shouldn't of asked, but if you noticed some other posts you'll notice that i actually did do it on my with the help of people from the board, so i appreciate the help, but if your a wise guy who wants to take a crack at me for leaving it to the last minute, save it.

The most expierenced programmer has a hard time / can't code a program at the last minute.
Im making a menu jus to load many many options through a command line console program. There will be around 100 or so different possibilities. So you have to have a choice for each single one. That sounds easy enough doesn't it? Ahh, but for every single file you load it's only right you check to see if it exists. More code! If your dealing with 2 files at once that could be almost a full page for one simple if / else statment. That involves checking for each file, then checking for errors during the loading of each files. 100 different possibilities, checking for multiple problems / situations that may arise.
Such a simple idea is now up to 2,200+ lines of code. It'll probably be 3,000 by the time it's done. It's an exmtremely basic, simple, text only menu. On the flip ( planned side ) side, it's effecient...which is the only way.
If your scrambling at the last min to convert a program from Basic or whatever into C / C++ for an assignment, try coding a few simple programs for the heck of it. Who knows, ya may like it. More importantly, you wont be scrambling at the last min.
