Exclamation heyyy could anyone help out!!!!!

    hi

could anyone tell me how could I draw a box with opposite corner co-ordinates being (1,0) & (23,79).
I want to display the name of the file and the page number at the top of the box i.e at the zeroth row.

the screen should be paused after one screenful of text and ask the user to hit any key to continue...

and more importantly this all to be donewithout involving graphics programming.

The main problem I'm facing is how to get the text inside the box......and pause the screen

thank u for helping me out everytime I wanted help

    ur help will be appreciated

    bye

Use an API such as DirectX or Win32 or MFC. Ask this question on the Windows board.

    Troll_King

Doom, quake, wolf3d and so on.........

Complex graphics in dos is possible !

How come yall can't answer simple graphics questions?

None of you guys hint at any kind of graphics for DOS or give any helpful information on where to aqcuire such information.

I have a tut that shows you how to make pong.......for DOS. You can display a title picture of your choice. BOOM, displaying a picture, isn't that lovely.

Why do you always direct people to windows when they clearly are asking for dos?

Do you not like allegro and gcc ( maybe even assembly... ) ?

Some older Borland compilers have a graphics.h library which can be used in 13h screen mode, however this is all obsolete knowledge. It would be much better to learn Windows programming. DOS is a virtual DOS in a professional operating system due to the fact that they are mulit-processing. The questions for the C-Board should exclusively be Win32 console questions involving the definition of C specified in ISO/IEC standard.

    ok

Then direct them to a place that would be of better help. They ask for DOS, so direct them to what they're looking for. I can display pictures fine in MFC no problem at all. Someone asks for dos send them to a board / site where they can learn allegro and djgpp. Dont say DOS graphics in C / C++ is obsolete. If I could figure out the C++ way for graphics in pure DOS i'd do it. Unfortunately odds are it's 10 times easier with Allegro.
