    need your advice

I plan to create a website to sell used books for charity donation on line similar as amazon.com, but my website will be simpler and easy to use. My ideas for the website is just display books for customers to pick and if they want they just simplly add the
selected books to ordercart, then enter the customer information
and payment verification and shipment info.
My basic plan is the front end client will be created by html and javascript. and the backend server will be C cgi.
That my plan, but I am still confuse to chose right languages for
    for development.
Could you guys give me any advice or feedback about what the best programming languages or tools out there I could use? Some my friends have suggest me using Perl for backend processing. Thank you for a million in advance.

Its really a matter of taste. But i would look into purchasing either some software program such as front page that you can manipulate HTML with or even java if you need to. Its what i use and its extremely user friendly and it has really nice add-ins that take lees of your time for creating webpages so you can get you business up -n- running fast. There is also microsoft publisher but my preference is frontpage.

Perhaps you can search through your bookstore for programming books that may help you code your bookstore.
    Hehe, I couldn't help it.

    G_MONEY, You werent listening!

Use frontpage, you'll be happy you did. You can create web designs using Microsoft Word or Powerpoint if your really cheap but hey its for charity so Good Luck.
I cater to Javascript and HTML, my self because they are simpole user inteface lang.
    peace out!
