    C header files vs C++ header files

    Is there a big difference between C header files vs C++ header files? I ask because VS Code sets, by default, my C header files to C++ header files.

    Basically does either header file offer any functionality that's not available in the other?

    The basic mechanism of header inclusion is the same, but of course we're talking about two different languages so there is a big difference.

    What you're looking at is probably just a matter of convention of file extension.
