    Native C programming databases

    Hello all!
Could anyone explain how to use free and opensource databases with C (gcc)?

SQLite would be a good place to start as it would allow your program to have an embedded database engine that accesses databases consisting of a single file each, with a native C API that is well documented on their website.

If they do, I ask them to find the smallest example that exhibits the problem and send me that. Mostly, they then find the error themselves. "Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.
