Are there any statistics libraries in c?

Hi, I'm trying to get back into programming, after a 10 year hiatus. I am currently using programming for work, and found that it is much more extensive than using Excel, thus programming and SQL > Excel for data science and data mining purposes. People at work are trying to use the language R for statistical programming and modelling purposes, but I was wondering if there was some kind of statistics library in c that would give you similar results to using R, that I could use as a tool for data science and mining.

If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
