Unless your career plan is "museum curator of programming antiquities", learning anything about DOS is a waste of effort.
I could help you, it's just that I don't care to. Universities teaching this junk need to go out of business.
My refusing to help will hopefully cause some students (at least) to bounce the problem back at the "tutors" and quiz them on how such things are relevant in the modern world.
Today's students need to be learning about "big data", advanced graphics, machine learning, AI etc etc.
Not messing around with 40 year old technology of DOS TSR's.
