    New to C

Hello, I am new to c and heard the best way to learn programming is to create your own program which I am trying to do. Problem is I am not sure what type of program to create I do not have any ideas. Is there any websites out there that give examples of programs to write maybe for a beginner. Sorry for asking such a stupid question, any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

not sure of any web sites but if you've never done c programming before your best off getting a book on c which will have little excersies. Actually when I was at uni the lecture notes I had were pretty damn good, you can download them from:
    First semester C programming
    and also from
    Second semester C programming
doesnt look like its changed in years, pretty sure this subject is no longer being taught but they kept the notes up there, hope this helps.
