I am looking for a C tutorial that gives you an example program to show you how something works, then explains it extremely thoroughly, then challenges you to make a program of your own that does something.

Basically, I want something like this: Cprogramming.com Tutorial: Introduction to C - Cprogramming.com.
Except with more programming challenges. Like, with a challenge or two every time you learn something new.
Any book on C will do that for you.
The problem with tutorials is they're deliberately written for bevity and thus lack depth and challenge.
See the C Books sticky message at the top of this forum's message list... There's tons of them.
Anything on pdf? Something that is not on one of those filesharing sites, if possible.
