Why would we want to know about such things.
Such archaic tools are only interesting to Indiana_Jones type people.

Turbo C is dead. Get a new compiler.
Yes, it is very important to know Plankalkül "if you want to build your own computer and want to make OS for your computer". Have you learned Plankalkül yet? If not, I suggest that you learn it before talking about Turbo C.Originally Posted by Vxyz

Well You all are treating me as a Senior and taking my ragging why ???
Believe me we are not treating you as a senior.... If anything we perceive you as a bit of a fool.
Stop and think carefully now... Several people have pointed out that Turbo C is a complete waste of time in today's world. It produces 16 bit code that won't even run on 64 bit Windows. It's non-standard in ways that will require a huge "catching up" effort in any professional programming position, it is teaching you bad habits you will have to unlearn, it's long abandoned and the company that produced it no longer exists.
Only an idiot would try to promote it and only a fool would defend it.
This is the entire problem in India right now... They've become a diploma mill, cranking out incompetent engineers, based on 20 year old technology and for the most part the students they VICTIMIZE don't even know it until it's too late and they discover their diplomas aren't worth the paper they're printed on.
As everyone on this forum knows, I have been a die-hard user of Turbo C, since it's earliest days. In the last year, the time finally arrived to move on (I'm now using Pelles C).
That time will arrive for you, as well. The sooner the better.
Enjoy Turbo C, but be ready to move on. Especially as a professional, you will want to work with modern tools, and current standards of C.
