You need to show you've done some work with this. We won't do the assignment for you. Especially, getting started shows good intent on your part.

Until we see that, we can't help you. You don't have a C problem. You have a "I haven't got started yet", problem.

@Adak!! I was expecting a method to solve the question not an answer. Anyway I'm halfway thru the programme. 'C in a nutshell' actually helps.. Thanks anyway

The thing is, there's almost always more than one way to do an assignment. Until we see your start, we don't know which of those ways to assist you with. And of course, we get several "code suckers" who just want somebody to be their homework bwitch, if they can find such. Not saying you are one of the latter, but some are.
