    Getting time

How do you get the time in a C program? I want to add the time to a string in the form of HOUR:MINUTE AM/PM

Take a look at the facilities available from the standard header <time.h>.

If they do, I ask them to find the smallest example that exhibits the problem and send me that. Mostly, they then find the error themselves. "Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.
