I was simply remarking on how inappropriate his tone was (not to be hypocritical, but if someone said that in real life to some guy who just wanted help I would definitely shout, "Oi, shut up!" at them).

I was afraid that Adak had gotten the false impression that chaklader was purposefully causing us chagrin, and it caused undue anger. I am sorry.

    No worries, mszegedy.

Two things to keep in mind:

A problem has a VERY short "shelf life" - it's a busy board, and in 24-48 hours the posted problem may be back to page #2 - and then it's GONE, (out of sight, out of mind), and won't receive help. The only way to maximize efficiency and get help out, is to have the posters give us the info (like their compiler errors), right away.

This is a moderated forum. and we have no freedom of speech, by law. We get some freedom for shut up's and such, but it's not unlimited. You need a bit of a thick skin, and you don't want to "play moderator" on others. (I do a bit of that myself, and shouldn't.)

The program works, Chaklader is satisfied, (and MWAAAHAAA has an apparently wicked sense of humor).

    All is well, I trust.

Yes. So, I believe this topic can be closed.
