Why do you want to do this?

I get maybe two dozen requests for help with some sort of programming or design problem every day. Most have more sense than to send me hundreds of lines of code. If they do, I ask them to find the smallest example that exhibits the problem and send me that. Mostly, they then find the error themselves. "Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.

Because I'm crazy and can see Christ's face in this picture.

If you are trying to learn steganography, this is a very strange way of doing it. It almost sounds like you have malicious intent.

That said, what you can learn is to read documentation. Find out the JPEG format. It has a comment section; perhaps that can be used here.

If you need this much spoonfeeding, then I suggest that you change your learning goals as this apparently pointless project is probably beyond you at the moment.

This whole request of yours still sounds rather fishy to me. I repeat: you need to read up. You probably can find libraries to help you, but this means learning how to use them. If not, if you need to find out the details of the formats involved and implement your own library functionality.

If you were expecting your complete solution to be handed to you on a silver platter, perhaps you should think again.

Then, when the picture is opened, the program will begin executing in the background, unknown to the viewer.

    Not good.

My shark is coming to get your "Christ" (who looks very much like a zombie, so far). Was he an extra for "Shaun of the Dead" or something?
