    fuse warning

    I keep getting this warning when I mount my file system:

    fuse:warning:library too old,some operations may not work

    I use fuse 2.8.1
    any idea?Thanks in advance

    Perhaps then get a newer version of fuse or its library, or provide more detail on the issue.
    Btw did you try to do a Google search for this problem? Which *nix based OS is this?

    yes
    I searched this for a long time and got nothing.
    The version I use is pretty new.And I also use ubuntu 8.10

    Did you compile the pkg or just install the binaries on your w/s?
    Is Ubuntu 8.10 the latest version of that Linux OS?

    yes,I compiled it with gcc and it seems ok.But when I mount it there is a problem

    Maybe your version of glibc is old but I too think you'll have better luck in the Ubuntu forums.
