That's a nice puzzle!
I've seen an applet for it on the web, but not the program.
This is a great puzzle to program up - a depth first search is highly recommended unless you have a particular search already in mind for it.
If you enjoy programming, you *will* have fun with this puzzle.
Ok well not the code for the whole program but the C Code for the actual 4x4 array sliding puzzle.
Our forum is not intended as a source for programs. It's true that some simple one's get done, for the simplest (usually), of assignments on rare occasions, but that's certainly not the norm.
The way it works is you post your program, and tell us specifically what is the problem with your program, and we'll try to help. Or if you're stuck trying to understand a concept, ask away - but please be specific. This is not a programming classroom or replacement for a textbook on C.
