    quick vim use question

I was just trying to get the value of a bitmask by including it in a printf() statement. At the end of typing it out, i hit some accidental keystroke and a "2" appeared (on the bottom info line), which turns out to be the value of the mask. I LOATH vim documentation as much as I love vim itself. Does anyone know if there is such a keystoke that will go thru a C "compile tree" (is what you would call that?) and give the value of a defined variable?

Um. Okay? I don't know exactly what's up here, but I was guessing it was a variable (and not a define or just a literal constant). Anyway, :help C-editing might give you more information (yes, I know, a help page).

No, that's super-great tabstop, I could kiss you, or Bram Moolenar, or someone. All this time...
