    Compile error

    Hey, I'm new to C programming and I am using Dev-C++ on Windows Vista 32-bit version. For the example code the book had me do, I ran it and it gave me the error:

      [Linker error] undefined reference to `__cpu_features_init'
      ld returned 1 exit status
    Here is the example code:

    #include <stdio.h>
    int main()
        printf("Goodbye, cruel world!\n");
    Any help with this would be appreciated. Thank you.

    This is due to a library clash, or so I have read. Do you have multiple installations of MinGW by any chance?

    You have 2 copies of MinGW installed. Move one of them out of PATH.
