    Smile newbie:Learning C programming in GNU/Linux with gcc-4.x

    Hello ,
I am on GNU/Linux and want to use gcc 4.x (gcc -Wall -o ..) for C programming(compiling).I found books with me like "Let us C"(old edition) asking for various windows based compilers ,I felt confused before reading that book itself.Kindly will you suggest a Book which can be followed for learning C programming(complete newbie -almost) in Linux?

There is a "book recommendations" thread at the top of the C programming forum. It has several books, and many of those would be (mostly) neutral.

Compilers can produce warnings - make the compiler programmers happy: Use them!
Please don't PM me for help - and no, I don't do help over instant messengers.
