Could any one suggest how I can fix this warning.
enumeration value is out of "int" range.
I have the following in my code.
Code:typedef uint32 select_type; enum { SELECT_NONE = 0xFFFFFFFF };

Depends on the compiler - are you by any chance using Turbo C or some other 16-bit compiler - it may not allow 32-bit enum values.

Compilers can produce warnings - make the compiler programmers happy: Use them!
Please don't PM me for help - and no, I don't do help over instant messengers.
Despite the fancy editing, your enum has nothing to do with select_type, and it's just an int.
Also, this being C (and not C++), I think you're stuck with the range of int, and your constant is outside that range.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
