    Window Size in Zlib

    In Zlib (DEFLATE LZ77) code I found Window size but I am not able to understand Window size properly.If any one help me to understand about window size I will be thank full to him.

    you see zlib source code,in this site you go to the line ---- version 1.2.3, tar.bz2 format (415K, MD5 checksum dee233bf288ee795ac96a98cc2e369b6); and chose US will get the code

    What DO you understand about the Window size?

    Compilers can produce warnings - make the compiler programmers happy: Use them!

    Read up on how LZ77 Data Compression works as this better explains the use of this "window" size to move forward for any matched buffer of data.
