Sorry, spaces phail.
When they start realizing that tabs should act just like tabs even though converted to spaces, perhaps then I'll start consider using them.

Agreed. Until then, I have no problem just converting them to spaces for web-only purposes. In fact the first thing I do when opening someone else's work before I even read their code is convert all of their multi-spaces to tabs.
A quick check shows that Visual Studio allows CTRL + ARROW to skip spaces, so that should not be a problem anyway.Quote:

But CTRL + ARROW does not skip one tab or X spaces, but rather it skips a word...
I notice a trend that seems to occur when all three of us are on simultaneously.... Chaotic nit-picking of coding style.
Anyway, now that it has been duly noted, back on to my giving of two cents. I still use ctrl+arrow with my tabs. I just notice that you are needing to use modifier keys to do anything... Sometimes its just nice to be able to navigate your source without pressing ctrl or alt or shift or middle click or clover key or whatever.
I fail to see how this matters, but in any case, I am ending this new variant of the old debate here and now. The result is up to you, dear reader, to decide.Quote:
