...Yeah, I don't really know what I was thinking when I wrote that. Thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping (but not expecting) this would just be super easy...but I guess it's not too bad, I guess. :) I have gsl installed, so one of their numeric integration functions should work, shouldn't it?
And if x^2=4, x=+or-2, so it's 2 answers. :P
And I totally get what you guys are saying about using algebra and solving the equation for what I need, and I definitely would have just programmed it in myself, but the actual equation I'm using isn't something non-mathematics majors can really solve. :P Although it is possible.
Hopefully I can get one of the functions from gsl to work for me...
