I searched wikipedia for PI and Taylor series, and I found both, but not in the context of them being together.
As an exercise for myself, I wrote this program to calculate PI with this formula: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pi#Calculating_.CF.80 using the Gregory formula. Iterating 1,000,000 times got me to

no sorry no links for it, im basically going off the formula i kinda remembered and seen about thats in my code.
my calc stuff is real fuzzy for me now, but thanks for the link
and ive heard that you dont really get near 3.14 untill you get to about 300 in.
and finally i got the equation right, forgot the freakin 4, as (pi/4=-1^n/(2n+1))... again thanks for all the help
