do you ask which compiler is best for native windows programming -> win32api or do you ask if MFC or VCL is best?

the fastest win32api compiler is the one of Intel!
the best GUI Toolkit is IMHO Qt

IMHO MFC is too old! VCL is better but i think .NET is better than VCL -> maybe Borland will improve VCL in further BCB Versions...

for non-professional use CodeWarrior looks great.
otherwise msvc if you are only programming for windows.

as ms wrote msvc i guess its the best one to use
( i have to work on removing the evalutaion copy message)

for console apps i use bcb though
