Hey guys,

After 2 years of being away...I decided my site needs a major overhaul and revamp. So I am designing a new site.

Of course it is not near finished, but tell me what yall think.

I quite like how it is turning out so far, especially the panoramic pictures I got sitting under the tabs.

Not fun enough... feels too professional. I feel like at any moment, I'm going to go to a page that tries to sell me something. I think it's the picture at the top of each section below the tabs. They don't seem relevant enough, they just feel like some random soothing pictures that are statistically proven to make people want to buy stuff. Other than that, I like the colors, I like the tabs, and it looks clean under 1024:768 (didn't check other resolutions)... currently I give it a 7/10.

The Music, Foreign Language, and Games tabs don't work but as this is very much WIP maybe that's the reason ... thought I'd flag it just in case it does turn out to be an error.

I can see SlyMaelstrom's point of view; I like a personal site to look fun enough to be fun to visit, but professional enough to be usable and easily get at what the site has to offer. Although too early to tell, I think this site may do this successfully.

But yes, so far so good. I do like it. Maybe add a little more "fun" stuff to make it look a little less professional without actually making it less professional.

Looks professional. Very good for companies...
I think it fits for a personal site, too.

I like it! Just one thing - there's a '' on the top left hand corner. Typo?

When you click on a lower tab, the width of the tabs changes. Perhaps your images are different sizes?

When you click on a lower tab, the width of the tabs changes. Perhaps your images are different sizes?I thought that was part of the design... the current tab is inverted in color and shrinks. The logic likely being people know what tab they're in so they don't need to see it as much as they should see their other options. That's what I think, anyway.

Perhaps it is part of the design, but the upper tabs don't do that.

Those tabs are tiny and thrown off to the corner. I don't see most people using them for navigation.

It doesn't have a big long summary of your trip to Italy, you jerk!

The tabs are working fine. I am thinking about taking off the top tabs...they arent really needed. The only reason to keep them would be if I had a few main sections (the top tabs) with a lot of sub sections (bottom tabs).

The reason why some tabs dont work is because I havent created all the pages yet, so that is a given. They arent supposed to all work yet. It isnt a bug.

Govt: sorry, man! i will get on that. i have easy access to server space again...it will be done in a jiffy

I like it a lot. I like simplistic websites with shades of grey and all.

I don't have time for that now so my google blog satifies my visual appeal and allows for me to type when I feel like it -- http://benscatch.blogspot.com. I'm thinking I don't really need a website right now, other than my fishing related articles I have in mind.

A rant and one half too long. Love the design Dave.

It looks very nice; I myself am too lazy to make a homepage for my site so I just use WAMP's homepage (http://pobega.ath.cx:1020/).

Looks very well done and professional though, I could never reproduce something so well made.
