Hi,

I have recently been trying to use netbios on my dads network IP at his office.

I am having problems with doing nbtstat -a IP and net view as well. This is the output from nbtstat -a IP

C:\WINDOWS>nbtstat -a 217.36.35.21

Anytime 161:
Node IpAddress: [217.134.3.181] Scope Id: []

Host not found.

That comes up instantly without even checking to see whereter the host is valid or not. I have also tried it on mates IPs and the same thing happens, rarter that displaying the net bios tool. And then the same thing happens with net view it dosnt display the shares.

I think my net bios must be disabled or somthing i had this working a while ago on win98 and on winxp before but it dosnt work now, (im on xp now).

Does anyone know how i can get it working?

Cheers

Hmm...I get the same thing. No host found doesn't necessarily mean that NetBIOS doesn't work though...It just means that nbtstat couldn't FIND the host.
