check out these isntructions
http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/vbsredlofa.html

They're more complete and won't require that you restore with the windows cd

Oh no?

from dicitionary.com

4M (fŏư˙ŕM)
n.
1. The point at which the collapse of modern society becomes apparent.

And besides, the definition doesn't really fit the work. He's using 4m like "from". That's probably what it means.

they say to delete the entry "Kernel32="%System%\Kernel.dll" [from] the registry [and] then to restore it [from] the windows cd ... can [no-one] tell me how to restore [that] ??
You can use regedit to modify the registry, but be carefull.

The safest method to get rid of a virus ( and if you've got one, you might as well have a dozen more ) is to completely format and reinstall your system from scratch. Anything else will be a battle of wits between you and the virus programmer. Not a good thing when s/he already won the first round
