For those of you who are too lazy to visit, the article covers a patent that Iomega has made for an 850GB optical disc! Now who thinks the 4.7GB of DVDs is a lot? :D

This is certainly interesting, not alone because the multiplexing alone implies four times the transfer rates.

seems interesting, but I'm more interested in technologies like quantum computing and memory cubes... besides, I'm looking forward to terabyte HDD's... more specifically the ones that will be spinning in the case beside me :P
