Juggling too many emails, forums ect is worse than smoking pot...............

http://www.guardian.co.uk/online/news/0,12597,1465973,00.html

I was reading about GWB's 'Clean Skies' bill and ended up on FOX.

Thought I would look at O'Reilly's stuff (I can't call it news or journalism)

Read this crud 'Unacceptable Behavior'.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,154294,00.html

O'Reilly goes on about two people being disrespectful to others in a public forum.

"allowed to use their power to injure and insult, then this country is in big trouble."

"They have smeared before, but they won't resign because they can get away with their tactics."

What gets me is then at the bottom of his 'stuff' he takes a swipe at someone about their appearance (who is donating money).

"There is no truth to the rumor that you have to look like him to get the scholarship."

Doesn't he see this as an insult?
Why does he see it as OK if he 'smears' or 'insults'?

WHY DON'T HIS VIEWERS SEE THE DOUBLE STANDARD?

Ahhhhhhhh.........excuse me.......better now......medication kicking in.

To the first link: Bah!

To the second: So what? Why do you care so much that Oreilly is a hypocrit? At least his message wasn't bull, just him that's bull.

I read plenty of e-mails, and I'm active in at least three online forums, but I've seldom had any trouble spelling lose or e-mail.

GO AWAY!

There, your IQ has just dropped another 40 points (http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn2051) (or here (http://www.acfnewsource.org/science/ego_iq.html)).

OK, you can come back now. :)

Explanation for the article in the first post:

The people studied on got less sleep cause of the emails.

They were tired when they had an IQ test.

They did poorly because they were tired.

If they were to have had a full night's sleep before the IQ tests, they would do just as well as the first time.

Conclusion: Reading too many emails simply makes you tired, not stupid.

Wow! the spelling nazis are quick off the mark and don't seem to see the joke.

TRAVIS:
What does 'Apperantly' mean?
Appearing like an ant?

elnerdo:

Nothing in the study mentioned time periods. One would think that Kings College scientists would take that into account.

My reading is that the extra distraction of the email ect while doing other tasks (ie IQ test) caused the lose.
