Apparently.

Now, as this is the C++ board, I suggest you tell us what compiler error you're getting while drinking too much. ;)

... And what is 'wjep'?

I drink, but only non-alcoholic beverages. Prevents me from getting a hangover and saves a lot of money too :)

I code better after midnight. Rather than that I'm lazy and unproductive.

Found on another message board - and now I have a reason to post it :p

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have a pint. (try for more than once)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be honest)

3. Add 5 (extra's on Friday night)

4. Multiply it by 50 - I'll wait while you get the calculator...

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1754. If you haven't, add 1753.

6. Now subtract the four-digit year that you were born.

You should have a three-digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have a pint week).

The next two numbers are ...

Your age!!!!

I drink quite a bit. Mostly beer on the weekdays when doing homework; if I have a taste for something stronger its gin (almost always Sapphire) and tonic, or gool ol' No.5 and coke.

I try to get pretty drunk when at a club durring the weekend - but most of the time it doesn't work due to several reasons: 1) dancing 2)pretty high tolerance, which leads to 3) I hate spending more than $80 on drinks a night.

I saw a few different takes on this, yet two numbers always stay the same ;)

Man, now I wish I had kept the drunken IMs I got from ygf last night.

I used to drink a lot more than I do now. When I drink a lot now, bad things have a tendency to happen.

I've thought the same thing, but I don't know if I'm actually coding better, or I just THINK I'm coding better

Alcohol is a depressant, it actually slows down your thought processes rather than enhancing them. A better (and safer) way to improve your coding is to increase bloodflow to the brain through moderate exercise. Or you could read a book and practice, you lazy slacker. ;)

I don't code better but I am able to do first level debugging easier. Once I am relaxed I don't overthink the problem and am more willing to try different approaches.
But if I'm designing a solution you better believe I'm stone sober.

No no... It became Java. And of course, no self-respecting C or C++ programmer would use Java. ;)

Right you are....I always feel like coding after a good work out. My head feels a lot clearer.
