I remember there was a thread discussing all of this somewhere....but what ever really happened to her?

she hasn't posted in a long time, any info about when she'll be back at cprog?

ober

Nope... she just said she has a lot of stuff on her plate right now. Didn't give specifics.

I sure miss her length in-depth explanation on stuff. I though a new member princeton gonna take her place but now that member is not around anymore.
I guess many noobs have to live with "STFW"

I was wondering where she was. I hope everything is okay and she takes care of her business soon. I kinda miss her :( , Plus I said once before I had a crush on her, but I didnt know she looked like this ober? (http://fd.whproductions.com/Prelude/thanksgiving5.JPG), where did you get that pic?

*sigh* I still remember when I first came on the board after learning python and I thought I knew everything and she schooled (http://cboard.cprogramming.com/showthread.php?t=46811) me. :o Kinda wish she had used a paddle or something. I was a young hothead, and a baaaaad boy :D

I really hate to follow such a.. disturbing... post...

But yes I remember first coming on to this board and asking questions so bad that even noobs could get mad at me for asking them. Prelude was always helpful and never rude.. even if you got annoying... example (http://cboard.cprogramming.com/showthread.php?t=17853)

I feel like I just read an obituary or something.

Its all love axon. you take yourself too seriously. I'm just saying that prelude was a valuable asset to this board and she taught and will teach ppl a great deal when she gets back. That's all, don't get your panties in a knot.
;)
As for being a fanboy. Coders usally have a bad image as to their physical image and somatic type. So if we have a guru on the board, who breaks alot of the sterotypes, that is she could probably put some of the ANSII C members to shame, helpful, knowledgable, yada yada yada. And on top of that she is a female and not a ugly one at that. So kudos to prelude for all your help and insight girl. Hope to see you soon. Can't wait till you get back.

p.s. axon don't hate. i'm sure there are some guys on here who think your cute too. :D

thats all I gotta say for this thread. it doesn't need to be a rerun of the needles "start here" thread.

But those kinds of threads are more fun than a reality TV show and they're spammalicious...

But, just to make sure I understand...

Prelude hasnt had time for the board so she isnt here...
Robc.. hijacked preludes account.. and told everyone that she/he was infact prelude... BUT robc is a self proclaimed "Compulsive Liar" and was just yanking chains.... right?... and prelude is just prelude who is not here.... and who is not robc, who in turn is not prelude...

I was taking a hiatus because the whole identity takeover thing freaked me out. And of course, I'm very busy these days, so regular posting isn't often possible.

Just read a reply by prelude so she can't be that far away. Her posts on binary trees where very challenging last year. There is a lady at my University in a lot of classes though not attractive imo I admire her intellect. Hopefully more women will find CS has more to offer them than just changing diapers and cleaning the house. Still if prelude where a man I would be just as impressed as I am by, for example, Salem or some of the other regulars who so generously contribute their time.

PS not inferring only women clean the house and change the diapers just an illeteration of a stereotype

Hold on, i'll edit and make a reply as soon as I look up a few words...

EDIT:

Hiatus - A gap or interruption in space, time, or continuity; a break

Illeration - Illustration?

Stereotype - Usaually either stereo or mono. Stereo being dual channel, making use of a left and right speaker. Mono being one channel.

Reply:
Ok, yeah I took a year and a half break (hiatus) not to long ago.

hahaha, that made me laugh. :D goofball However, you can still have 60 speakers and still operate in mono.

And yah, some people have busy lives. Hobbies/work/family....they might get online everyday even if it's only for a few minutes, but there are many days when some people can only manage to be home like an hour before bed.

She'll be back anyways, there's tons of guys she can toy with that sit here all day going, "Ooooh, Prelude = hot crazy sexors"

lol I think I mispelled illitiration my spelling will be the death of me. Is that not the proper use of stereotype how do you spell it then?
I think I am just missing the joke.

This board is going to be fun over the next semester. It definately keeps one humble.

Met my prof for C/C++ today. Thought I have been through a few books on my own this guy scares me.

Do all universities try and scare off the students?

Are first assignment is to comment some c code unfortunately most people have no clue what the code means.

ohh and as far as preludes intellect It is very impressive but what is really impressive is the amount of time and effort given to us beginners.

Vicious
08-30-2004, 05:27 PM
No curlious, you didnt mis-use stereotype.

My response was a simple exageration and/or exploitation of my inner stupidity.
