View Full Version : Hill Cipher

07-17-2004, 02:58 AM
Im doing a Maths project at school. We're working from the "Mathematics for Year 12 Mathematical Studies" book from Haese & Harris Pub. One of the DI's use matricies for encryption and it says to research "Hill ciphers" and comment on their differences. Ive search the net and i cant find any differences, none at all. I was wondering if someone could try to explain Hill ciphers more througherly. If you need more explaination as to how they are doing it in the book just give us a buzz. Hope you can help!

Bump Bump!! =)

There is no need to bump your thread people will look at it and respond to it if they want to. Bumping is just going to irritate people not make them respond faster.

P.S. I suck at math so I can't help you :)
P.S. #2 Welcome to the boards :)

07-18-2004, 09:09 PM
3 red squares. Does that beat a full house?

07-18-2004, 09:11 PM
hehe if you thought we were rude, you need to hang around longer...you havent seen rude yet, just search some of the old posts and you will see when we get rude ;)

07-18-2004, 09:22 PM
Ah but I think our friend here made it to 3 red in 6 posts.

07-18-2004, 09:24 PM
Nope. I gave him his 3rd after his 7th.

07-18-2004, 09:25 PM
Oh ok. Sorry my timing was off. Well he can still go for lowest rep.

07-18-2004, 09:27 PM
Hmm... I never saw his last post - I guess I'm the one who's wrong. It would've had to have been 6 then. I'm sorry Thantos. He sucks more than I thought.

07-18-2004, 09:27 PM
oh by the way thantos your webpage seems kind of buggy when I view it in IE...not sure if it's becuase you just are not finished with it yet or because you have not tested it with IE or what...just tellin u...

07-18-2004, 09:30 PM
I've got a corn kernel between two of my molars and I just can't get it out.

07-18-2004, 09:31 PM

>>not sure if it's becuase you just are not finished with it yet or because you have not tested it with IE or what<<

>>Thanks DavidP. I had tested with opera and FireFox but forgot IE.<<

another lie. lier. I told him earlier today when I was testing it out

07-18-2004, 09:43 PM
Ok check it now. For some reason it wanted clear: both; in the style sheet to make it align correctly

And the screeny you sent me Axon it was just slightly offcenter not off the screen :)

07-18-2004, 09:44 PM
yes that was on mozilla

07-18-2004, 09:46 PM
Well you didn't say anything about IE :)

07-18-2004, 09:50 PM
do you have control on how the google searchbox is placed on your page?

it works great fullscreen (1024x768), but if i make the window smaller the google searchbox kind of overlaps some places of text.

other than that it looks good.

07-18-2004, 10:03 PM
Yeah its because of how the CSS is setup. They will always float next to each other. I do have control of where and how the google stuff is displayed (within some minor constrants).

Besides I hope no one with a resol lower then that comes to the page :) j/k
