i am trying to get visitors to complete a short survey so i can tru and develpo my site to what my users want, i thought that giving an incentive would a be a good way to get users to complete it.
Does anyone have any ideas what i could do , i though a competetition or a free gidt for all responses - it has to be incredibly cheap, sendable by email and something everyone wants - what a dilemma - all suggestions greatfully received.

good plan, how many winners do you think would be appropriate?
I aim to collect 200 surveys to give a reasonable set of data ( i have so far had just over 600 unique vistors in three months- which is not great) so would one winner be acceptable? i dont really want to spend too much. Also i am in the uk and want the competition to be open to every user in every country - can i buy vouchers for amazon in foreign currencies?

Im not too sure, but check it out at amazon.com. Im pretty sure you can. Sure make a grand prize for the voucher and maybe put some names up on the runner up part of your page. If I had my name on cprogramming.com I would think that's a prize in itself. :p
