View Full Version : farewell

I'm leaving these forums.

I can't stand you people any more. I"m moving to www.flashdaddee.com forever; a board where all the good people who i have come to respect hang out. There is no way that i can help in saving Cprog, so why shouldn't i leave and get rid of the 5 posts a day that i add on? I'm sick of the rambling and inanity which has come to characterize this board. I'm sure that no one will care if i leave or not, and i hope it is that way. It's not like i made a difference in being here or anything. I came here to ask q's about C++, and i have asked them and exhausted them a while ago. I have outstayed my welcome, and i shall now depart.

Nobody cares. Move on, nothing to see here.

I left for a few months, and then again for a couple more. Hope you return again when the time is right, help someone out, post a riddle. :) Have fun adventuring out there.

Well said Aran.

I too am now focusing my time more on at www.flashdaddee.com . This has nothing to do with any site rivalry (certainly not a a major issue) it is, as Aran said because "..[sic]of the rambling and inanity which has come to characterize this board." Add to that the whole cprogramming.com forums. The quality of this place has been going down hill for a while now. I did intially direct the blame at the moderators, but now I realise they have little to no control over people here. I realise some of you have tried.

Salem and nvoigt - you guys can say what you want, what you are going to do from now on, but words without the actions to back them up are pointless. See "Salems Brush" and my post there.

>>Nobody cares. Move on, nothing to see here.<<

Add Aran now to the already long list of members who have left or barely post here like the used to:

Aran Elus
rick barclay
Fool (aka Chris)
...others that I have forgotten.

The sense of community is what held this place together. Now that community has all but faded into a pail shadow of what it once was.

>>You should only come to this programming board to cross post and trash talk. Lets take it down!<<

I hope you are joking Troll_King I seriously do.

I think I'm going to leave not just this board, but also the world pretty soon - but that's what I always think.

Well govtcheez dosn't post much since he is at school. I personaly think there is to much trash, I still cheak this board first, out of habbit, thats go to stop, but I prety much have stoped reading most threads. If I got VC++ For xmas I have to leave, so I can learn dx.

There right, the board quilty has gone done, off a cliff, hopfully the mods can open the parchute, before its to late.

yeah, most of my posting lack is due to school and homework, divided up between the fact that there aren't many more interesting posts on the GD board and I _do_ have modding duties @ flashdaddee's...

The commute from cprogramming.com to flashdadde.com
isn't that long. You can still visit both.

I post both places...

>...others that I have forgotten.

I'm registered there, too. Argh!!! Why do people
always forget about me!!!

We just upgraded Troll. No reason why you shouldn't be
able to register. We're having problems uploading our avatars,
though, just to warn you. We're in contact with vBoard
tech support. Hope to have it fixed soon.
