guys, what does "E" mean when it is written in a float like this:

1.000000000000000E+20

I'm parsing a DXF file and trying to get my "ParseDouble" method to handle this.

I think that just means the number times ten to the power of what comes after the 'E'.

3E+2 = 3 * 10^2 = 300

The Ex stands for 10 raised to the power of x.

ah ok. Then it's scientific notation (sorta). I was thinking it might be an exponent by itself. Thanks.
